Can Gentiles be Saved?

Some Israelites and those that say they practice Judaism believe that Gentiles cannot be saved. In modern Christianity some believe that there are now spiritual Israelites which are the Christian believers in Christ. Some also believe in replacement theology in which the modern Church has replaced ethnic Israelites we read about in the Old Testament. However, Scripture lets us know that God has not cast away his people which he foreknew.

Romans 11:1 – 2 Vs. 1. I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.  2. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,

Paul makes it clear that God has not cast away his people which he foreknew. Paul also states his nation (Israelite) and his tribe (Benjamin.) While some teach that Israel has been done away with the bible teaches the contrary.

Isaiah 14:1 Vs. 1. For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

God will choose Israel again, however notice Isaiah states the strangers (gentiles) shall be joined with them and they will cleave to the house of Israel. Scripture also lets us know that the Israelites will be raised up to be a light unto the Gentiles.

Isaiah 49:5 – 6 Vs. 5. And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. 6. And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

According to the bible God accepts the Gentiles.

Acts 10:27 – 36 Vs. 27. And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together. 28.  And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29.  Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me? 30.  And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, 31.  And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God. 32.  Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee. 33.  Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God. 34.  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35.  But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. 36.  The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Peters encounter with Cornelius shows us that in every nation those that fear God are accepted with him. Other nations outside of Israel are able to be saved. Because God will raise up a people out of the Gentiles for his name.

Acts 15:14 – 17 Vs. 14. Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15.  And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16.  After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17.  That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

The Gentiles were grafted in.

Romans 11:11 – 13 Vs. 11.  I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12.  Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? 13.  For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

However the Gentiles were not to boast against the natural branches (Israel.)

Romans 11:16 – 24 Vs. 16. For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17.  And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18.  Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19.  Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20.  Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21.  For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22.  Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23.  And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 24.  For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

While both Jews (Israelites ) and Genitles (Nations) are accepted with God, the Jews are the natural branches who are accepted first before the Gentiles. God states that Israel is the only nation who he has known.

Romans 2:9 – 11 Vs. 9. Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10.  But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11.  For there is no respect of persons with God.

Psalm 147:19 – 20 Vs. 19. He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. 20.  He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

The Gentiles will trust in Christ.

Romans 15:12 Vs. 12. And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

The Gentiles will serve Israel in Righteousness in the Kingdom.

Isaiah 14:2 Vs. 2. And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

The Most High God is God of the Gentiles also.

Romans 3:29 Vs. 29. Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

All have fallen short of the Glory of God including Gods people. All who fear God and try there best to keep his commandments and have faith in Christ are accepted with him. Gods people must continue to rise and take their proper place to be a light to the Gentiles who are called by Gods name. We must all remember that the duty of all MAN is to keep Gods commandments.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Vs. 13. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
